been watching this CAM every year for about 5 years now.

Lately though I have been wondering why I don't ever see the male taking his turn on the next. Well he has been gone for a few weeks and now the locals are saying something has had to happen. So mom is doing everything on her own. Hard to go out and get food with out leaving the next to far which is dangerous.

I've watched the CAM off on over over the years. Didn't think of it this year until your post. If the dad has been gone that long it sure does not look good. Years past he was very active in taking care of the nest.
