Honda has got these machines figured.
The new Pioneer from Honda. Engine compartment is where one can look, feel, and see what it's all about !!! Isn't all crounched up in a box .... Open like a Kubota 900 where you can see what you got !!!
They are built in South Carolina with over 2000 happy employees there ....

Good to see honda interested in this market. I was disappointed to see the rear is locked like a rhino. If not for that I would be trying to buy one. Always had Hondas growing up. Nothing tougher than a 300 honda in mho. I bet honda has more sxs coming.
I just went through an extensive search for a new RTV - owned Polaris Rangers and wanted to go to a new type unit - there are some great buggies out there but the problem I ran into was the accessories. I use a full cab system and most of these manufacturers don't have a cab system or the ones they have are no good. Mules, Hondas, etc. are very limited in accessories where I found Polaris and Kubota to have the best and most options - I cant understand why these others don't produce quality accessories
Honda would sure turn my head if it had hydraulics and a bigger cargo bed.. mine is too little as it is.. gotta have the hyd with the weed wiper..

The accessories are out there. And quality pieces at that .
One just has to look hard for them.
What helped me out was a friend who is in the business. And he usally points me in the right direction ....
But every now and then, you run across something that they don't make for your machine .....

Somewhere in here, I think someone suggested I look into getting a side by side to replace my ATV, and the more I look into it, the more interested I got. Then I said, I was going to pick up a side by side next month, well..... next month came quicker than expected. I decided to sneak out of the house while my wife was on vacation, and sign my name to one, wont she be surprised when she gets back next week, ouch. But I do miss her cooking.

Well... I think that's enough suspense and anxiety. After a fare amount of research into a half dozen brands, checking out the specs. I narrowed it down to ether Kubota RTV 500, or Yamaha Rhino, both of them was under 60" wide, witch was a must, measuring around 55"-56" wide, all other brands I check was 60"+, and I wanted down hill engine braking. So to make a long story longer, I decided on the Rhino because 2 things I didn't like about the Kubota RTV, no front diff. lock, and 25 mph. top speed, but if it had front end lock, I would of went with the RTV. I did my share of off roaden to know if it has 4 wheels, I want 4 wheels pulling when I get stuck. What I really want is a side by side that has a real low gear for working, like a tractor, and high gear like an ATV for getting somewhere, 40-50 mph. is enough for me. If only I had my own tractor factory.

Congratulations on your purchase, I know you will enjoy it. I would recommend you take a 2 gallon pump up garden sprayer with you when off roading in the rhino. Unless they have changed the radiator location it collects dust,mud, seeds,etc. and then gets hot. Having the sprayer to clean the radiator on the trail made a big difference . Just my 2 cents.
what size rhino did you get?450 or 700?i have an 08, 700 it's a great machine that will get you just about anyplace you want to go.if your like me and add a winch a few towing straps one or two come-alongs and in some cases a mobile home anchor there isn't anything you can't do with it.i snorkeled mine for water up to 4-1/2 feet I want to extend the snorkel to the top the rops for more protection from the water. the rhino will hual the 400lbs it say it will but probably nothing more.now for pulling it will pull a lot of weight .I pulled an f150 out a rut where he was dragging bottom.and I also pulled my buddy out of his yard it wasn't a lot of mud but the ground was wet ond he couldn't get traction to pull his 5th wheel camper out. I hooked on to his truck wich is a 1 ton dodge fatbed it was hooked to his 27 foot camper and the rhino had no problem pulling it. if you have the 700 I can make you anything you need for it.also one thing is a must do for the rhino and that is to add a second brace to the rear diferential because they have been known to break the mounts when stressed out from heavy hauling or huge tires.if you just need it for getting around you can leave the clutch stock but if you want more pulling power get you a epi mudders clutch kit it drops the gear down and gives you more pulling power.before I installed mine my top speed was 42mph and after the clutch kit it's top speed is around 38 to 39pmh.i took my brother ride a few weeks ago and he was freaking out at the stuff we went through. when the water got up to his chest he just about wanted to bail out and start swimming .lmao. I have bad neck and back problems but the rhino is a pretty smooth riding machine.i have found that it's better to go fast over bumpy areas rather than go slow and feel every dip.if there is anything you need to know about it feel free to ask .also I have a shop manual that I got online that I can send you .let us know how things go with the rhino.
the old 660 rhino used to get hot I haven't had any over heating and when I go ride the radiator gets caked with mud.one problem I did have and my buddy who has a 450 rhino had the same problem was that right after we bought the rhino the radiator fan plug went bad and the fan stopped working .we both took our rhinos in and they fixed mine and his while they was still on the trailer .maybe a branch or twig pushed or pulled the plug but the only thing they had to do was to disconnect it and push it back on and problem was solved.i also took every connection apart and put dielectric grease on all of them to make sure the rhino would not stop while under water because when your in deep water it's not like a 4 wheeler where you just jump off and raise the rear end these side by sides tend to go down like the titanic and if not pulled up or out they just sit there on the bottom.

"2 gallon sprayer", not a bad idea, I have one. But I've notice the older I get, the less mud I go through. I used to go through water and mud up to the handle bars or air intake, once over the air intake, that really took the fun out of four wheeling. So at least for 1 year, I'll keep it out of mud more than foot deep, or until the new-ness wares off, or paid off.
Right now up here in Maine, snow is on my mine. I priced a snow plow, winch, and mounting plate for the Rhino, $1,180.00, out the door. I'm thinking about putting it on my Christmas list, the wife should be done hollering at me by then.
