Yep, You right !!!

Love dat chickin' >>>>

I would rather drive 48 miles to my dealer in Winnsboro, than to just hop the Mississippi bridge and go maybe 3 miles to that dealer.
Winnsboro dealership in RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO POPEYES CHICKEN HOUSE.
Pick up a box of chicken and walk back to the Kubota dealership, sit against a tractor wheel
and feast out brother !!!!

Looks like a southern version of our "snipes". It's been awhile since we've hunted them up here. Need to get the kids out and see if they can bag some.

that there is some really good eatin.when i was a kid me and my brother would go out into the field and pop us about 10 of them then come home and i would cook them up in the oven. over the years their population down here dwindled and now i could probably hunt them all day and nt kill 5 of them.a buddy of mine told me one time to gp buy some cornish game hens at the store and try them .he said they tasted the same. i went get a few and nope they wasn't the same not even close.yup the good ole days of snip/woodcock hunting days are over down here.

yup thats the same birds.they used to be plentifull down here in the winter time but they seem to have dropped of in the years .the woodcock has a curved beek from what i remeber but they both taste the same.the best place to shoot them is on the ground because when they take off they fly vere iraddic and hitting them in the air is a challenge.but they are great eating.

Did you read what was on that page? Yea, there's a picture of the bird, but it's not related to the text.

I know what you are talking about bczoom.

Bad thing is, these things has orange feet, feathers, and big teeth. They are meat eaters.

They can fly to you just to eat you alive >>>>

This is why we down here in the swamps, lock our doors & windows at night for reason of these things.

Would hate to wake up Mrs. Two Guns and send her out to take care of one of these critters

during the middle of the night. She would nag all day long the next day. Then she have me cleaning

and plucking the critter for dinner .....

We just tell the kids it's "chicken" >>>>>

....... and you know what is bad, send them out in the swamps on a snipe hunt.

And they come back with feathered things you can't identify, and they all have teeth.

Now that scary !!!!!

the bad thing in the swamps at night is the snakes .atnight they tend to climb and hang in the trees.dureing the day you walk through there looking down at your feet but at night you have to watch your feet so you don't run into a cypress knee and fall on it and impale yourself. you also have to watch the trees for the snakes . if your not from around here the swamp at night is a very deadly place to be.
