Look, I'm not trying to defend policy, but....

If its not a recall, you won't be notified, thats how it works. On the fender stay kits for the BX, its definitiely a fix set forth by the company, but they have not notified every owner of a BX. However, in giving the dealer a fixed amount of time to repair each unit, Kubota does expect that the dealer will call all owners in an effort to do the work, thus collecting the warranty money. However, its not a recall, so there is no requirement to notify an owner.

This isn't unique to Kubota, many automotive companies do the same thing. Again, I'm not defending or endorsing any action taken by Kubota on any problem, as I have no power to change it.

I do however, encourage you to speak to your dealer, or any dealer that will listen and give you satisfaction.

Two more comments: First, I have to say that I haven't had more than one 900 come in for the driveshaft problem. On that unit, it would be hard to say that the shaft had a problem or not, since the shaft was in far worse shape than simply noise. We didn't go into depth with the owner, as they traded it in. We replaced the entire front shaft.

The PSB's for 2007 had nothing in them for the front shaft. Please keep in mind, this isn't built by a car company, its built by a tractor company. As such, rattles and noise are part of the game at this point. As the RTV is refined, it'll get quieter and more user friendly.
