2021 RTV-X1100C overheating / fan belt problem

Hi,

My RTV has about 96 hours on it, and has often made that annoying hissing noise. This morning, after starting it to remove the snow in my driveway, it overheated 2 mins after being started. Turned off the machine. Checked coolant levels in both rads (in front of the RTV and near the battery), all goods. Did an other test, and it overheated again very quickly.

I found out the fan was no longer rotating, as the belt slipped out of the pulleys. It's also pretty worn out.

Is there a way to remove the belt without removing any pulleys? I think I can loose the bolts of the alternator but I can't see if I can slide out the belt from the bottom pulley.

Anyone would have instructions on replacing the belt? The Workshop Manual doesn't seem to contain any.

Thanks!

Loosen the alternator and replace the belt with a new one. Your water pump isn't turning. The noise you describe was probably the loose belt slipping. 96 hours? I have over a thousand hours on the oem belt

@aurthuritis Many thanks for your response. Indeed only 96 hours, but I guess that's what happen when the belt was not installed correctly after so many hours...

Please look at the attached picture. I don't think I can remove the fan belt (pointed by red arrow) without removing the other belt (green arrow... what is this belt for anyway?). Also, I think I'll have to remove completely what the blue arrow points to - looks like front PTO stuff.

I was trying to help by making your image full size and accidently deleted it.
Please post the image again.
my apologies. A major DUH moment.
Note: if you click on the image after you upload it and select full it will be full size and easier for all to see.
So sorry for my mess up.

You have a front snow blower or a k connect? Take out the single cross bolt in the drive shaft and retract the shaft a little. Loosen the belts and replace

No i can't unless you take a pic of the driven unit. My x1100c doesn't have that arrangement but i also don't have a front drive or kconnect on mine. By chance are you outside the usa.

My ac compressor runs off of the same belt as the fan and alternator. I suspect you may have some sort of emissions that i dont have? Or a hydraulic pump for the accessories?

Replace both belts.
