    Napa Gear Oil

What is called for in the manual? From your description, the NAPA oil is a UTF type, not gear oil. Give us more info if you can.

    4' or 5' bush hog

I agree with the others, 4' would be ideal.

    NEW LS TRACTORS

LS is the former LG, who made (make?) many Montana tractors and some for other manufacturers. They've been in the US for awhile, just as a tractor marketed under other brands. I had tried one in 2003 branded as a Farmtrac, it was nice but my Mahindra was at a closer dealer.

    ML106 bucket capacity

Maybe you could try locknuts? I would think the basic nylon insert type would help.

    Hanmey Quality

I just googled it and they are mostly, if not completely Chinese in orgin. The LW series have been around awhile with fair to poor reviews. I'm not sure of the other two models.

What to do with a rusted out SUbaru????

I've seen an older Subaru 4x4 that was made into a really cool off roader. Can you weld/fab a frame? It could be a fun project.

    30 or 35 series?

I'm running a 5' Woods cutter with 22+ pto hp. It does well. It can bog in real thick grass but mostly it just cruises through it. I think you'd do well with 43 pto hp and a 7' cutter. The picture shows a spot where I have to go slow. It gets wet here and it is usually july before it is dry...

    BX2230 FEL question

Yes. It can leak past the piston seal from one side to the other yet still internal.

    BX2230 FEL question

Normal. Hydraulics can leak past the seals, no cause for worry. If it becomes excessive, a rebuild of the problem part, cylinders or valve is in order.

    16 foot trailer?

I think you'll hang over the end and it will be difficult to get the right amount of tongue weight to tow safely, though maybe not impossible. Add up the weights to make sure you're not over the GVW of the trailer as well.

    5500 dodge build

Nice find! I'm suprised they couldn't move it with the 2010's having a price increase for emissions. I've driven one and they will do 75mph and hold it uphill, loaded to 18,500lbs. That Cummins is sweet. What was the story w/ the turbo, did they say?

    questions on oil

i agree with finding out the recommended oils. I do believe you will find that basic gear oil, found at most every auto parts store, TSC, etc... will work fine for you. The engine oil may be a 10-30w in spec, though hard to find. I use Rotella 5-40w synthetic from Wal-Mart, better starts in the...

    Mail Box Destruction

Would it have been any different had they hit a telephone pole or a tree? If a person had been retrieving their mail at the time of the accident, they may have been killed. The responsibility for the resulting casualty would be shifted back to the driver. My point in this issue is the...

    My New Antique Massey

I usually run it at a better angle on the Mahindra. The Massey seems to have shorter lift arms. I picked it up in Pittsfield, on Rt 107. The guy has about 50 old tractors.

    My New Antique Massey

Thanks! Until the rain hit, I was driving it around the field, just for fun! What do you think of that chipper, look familiar? :D

    My New Antique Massey

Thanks Bob! It does seem real straight. That was one of the things that made me look closer at it, and well, you know the result. I had to have it!

Leaking gas tank on MF 35

I'd have a shop look at repairing the hole, even if a patch could be welded on. At that age, I'd suspect corrosion. I'd then have it re-lined, but maybe at a different shop than the previous.
