Help I broke my tractor in half!!!

Keep it calm guys, getting heated about it isnt going to help anything. Larry, dont forget the tractor was over 2 years old when it broke, and out of warranty. Just because the bolts are inconvenient to access doesnt mean they shouldn't be checked atleast once in those 2 years. I'd even expect...

    stuck clutch, loose fan belt

Mark outlined a few options in this thread You may have to split the tractor to free the clutch. I have heard of people driving along and slamming on the brakes, but if yours is seized enough to withstand pulling against a tree then splitting might be the best option.

You might have a restriction in the fuel line, maybe a clogged filter, if it runs well for a few seconds before acting up. I cant help you on the jets.

How is the loader working for you Blacksmith? IIRC you finished yours at about the same time as I did mine. Mine's been handier than a pocket on a shirt, hasnt missed a beat.

Man that noise brings back memories. Same noise as my old 2 cyl Kubota B6000. Thanks for posting that.

    Mahindra/Bradco 511 backhoe

Are the 2 remotes both plumbed from the same valve block? Its possible that the remove valve does have a relief, but both spools will share the same relief valve, so if one spool works and one doesn't then it isn't the relief or they both wouldn't work. Is your backhoe connected with quick...

You probably have some sort of fuel block. If it only runs well with the choke out a little bit then that would indicate a lack of fuel. Welcome to the site

Need to make my own dumpster

Redneck, thats what they have on the farm. Works real well. Theirs does have wheels on the bottom so you can push it around by hand if need be.

Need to make my own dumpster

Next time I think of it I will get a photo of the one they use on the farm. The part that fits on the pallet forks stays level, the hopper that you put the junk in tips like a trip bucket on a loader. That way it can still dump but it doesnt fall off the forks.

    Started 2009 Garden

I was wondering when we'd be seeing the start of your seasons work Dean. Hoping my patch will be looking like yours next weekend. Still just a little damp this weekend. Going to plant a few hundred onions, maybe some spuds. Asparagus isnt too far off sprouting now. :)

    Ongoing Problem

The spot here is the equivalent of the arrow on FF. Its just the way the site is set up. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of the little envelopes we have here, the big ones on FF are much easier to 'read' at a glance. BTW, broke the reggae out today, nothing like a bit of Mr Marley in the...

    Biodiesel

Cali, do you know how the BD is made? I came across a truck that had been run on straight veg oil (maybe cut with a little diesel). The pistons were eroded, for lack of better word, to the point where they almost had a hole in the middle of the top face. They also had cuts from the spray of...

An Irishman went to a farrier....

Heard this on the box last night, had me in stitches.... An Irishman went to a farrier and asked for a job. 'Do you have any experience shoeing horses?' said the farrier to the Irishman. Irishman, 'No, but I once told a Donkey to bugger off.' :yum:

    Tree removal

I think the 008 is a 3/4ton machine? I had one of those, it was a little light, but it still did a decent bit of work. It did tend to bounce of the rocky stuff though. You cant beat them for maneuverability though, so much easier to track about than a tractor and BH.

    Tree removal

Took a little seat time on a mini-ex this weekend. Mostly removing trees and stumps. Only a 1.5ton machine, but it did well. Took out about 30 small stumps up to about 12" diameter. Maybe 8 hours including levelling the ground after the stumps were out. (pic 1) Also took out a couple of trees...
