RTV Daily uses, What did you do today with your RTV?

I can see that with the longer bed it is easy to have the load not forward enough. The machine can certainly handle that load, it is just seems a bit too far back. I am always amazed at how well engineered RTV's are. I've had two over 11 years and, while I am respectful of the machine, I have asked it to do some hard work and never has it failed me. Between plowing snow, moving stone, gravel, loam, firewood and pulling boats out the Lake it has always performed well. Glad you seem to be enjoying putting your RTV to work.

I'm in very hilly country so I can't overload "too much" due to tip hazards.
Don't know about the newer machines but my RTV has rubber stoppers between the bed frame and machine frame. When they touch (at about 1000 pounds), I know I'm at max safe capacity.

What I did with my RTV today:

Made my last payment! The 520 is paid off and officially my rig. Ordered the work light kits (front and rear) as a present for my new machine.

Our RTVX completely proved it’s worth on Sunday night when it assisted us and two neighbours to save our property from a bushfire that threatened us from the north.

Fire fighting is the primary purpose for which we bought the RTVX, and although we use it for many other purposes, it is superb on the fire grounds.

The RTVX carries a similar load to a light pickup and gets to places which would be inaccessible to a conventional vehicle. It is really easy for getting in and out of, and fast enough to get away in an emergency.

Ours carries 132 gallons, plus pump, hoses blowers, chainsaw and fire fighting gear. No problems. It won’t stop a fire front, but will put out a spot fire or localised burnover, and is great for extinguishing burning trees and logs as follow-up to back burning.

Working with two bushfires units, ours literally saved our property from burning on Monday morning…2fe7245c-aac7-4b35-9755-ebebfbf0093d.jpegf8c560b2-6de6-4e70-b9dd-38fc338070e4.jpegIMG_4718.jpeg

It's that time of the year.
My woodshed is across a creek that's hard to cross in the winter. I built a small pole building on the house side of the creek earlier this year. Spent a couple hours yesterday loading it with firewood. Will finish stocking it up today. Oh, the RTV wasn't used. I can haul more with an ATV with a 4x8' trailer.
