When mine broke the Dealer said it was a common problem. You have to replace the Transmission cover. I made a bracket for mine after it was repaired so it would not happen again.

I have a 2008 John Deere 5203 with only 168 hours on it. Last week while mowing Hay the mount for the PTO engagement lever broke off. The mount is part of the Transmission cover. The Dealer will replace the cover under warrenty but said this is a common problem. Just wondering if any one else...

Atteneded an Auction this weekend and purchased a MasseyFerguson Single shank Sub Soiler. Would like to try it out in my Hay fields. Has anyone used one of these before and how do they work.
