Tranny oil change rtv900

Decided to change the hydraulic fluid on my "new to me" 2007 rtv900 with 400 hours on it. I have seen on posts that there are two drain points but I can only find the one with the manget. Maybe a different model has two points?

Also noticed the reservoir under the eeat did not drain. How do you drain this? I guess by detaching the hoses?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to a great forum.
I think the trans only has one drain plug. You should stick with Kubota super UDT oil on this. From what the forum has taught me you are asking for problems is you don't.

The reservoir under the seat is for the power steering, and yes you pull the suction hose off at the pump to drain. The hyd. dump oil is in the rear of the buggy if equipped with hyd lift. Both take UDT oil too.

You will want to change or check the front diff. oil soon too.
Mine was really nasty at 280 hours.
The front knuckle cases on mine were clean at 280 but I changed them at the same time as the front axle case. They take super udt also.

Hope this helps, and don't worry there won't be a test later.
Others will chime in and hopefully correct me if I steered you wrong on anything or add to it.

Thanks Realtree. Yes, I am talking about hydraulic fluid and I am replacing with the correct oil. Can't believe how dark the old oil was with just 400 hours. Probably the first time it was changed?

I had an 05 RTV 900 and now a 2011 RTV 900. Only onetransmission drain plug in those. The largest container under the seat is for the power steering . (beside the radiator overflow one) collie

Thanks b/c. I have a service manual on cd ordered so I may be able to answer these simple service questions on my own. I have read through this forum for the last couple of months and find it to be very helpful, and without all the negative feedback often seen on similar sites. And I appreciate that.
