First thing I noticed when I got this RTV was there's no place to store anything. What was Kubota thinkin???

So I built this. Carried a piece of 4x4 square post around for a few days to make sure it wouldn't interfere with my foot space. Elevated it 1.5" off the floorboard so it's easy to clean underneath. The bottom is expanded metal so don't hafta clean it out. Life is good.

Looks good! You do not catch your heels on it? I think something like that would fill with snow in my case because I don't have doors. I use the under seat storage units and find that things stay dry there and are easily accessible, but I can see the advantage of having something for chains.

I rarely even touch it with my heels. As I said earlier, I carried a chunk of 4x4 around for a few days to make sure it wouldn't be in the way of my feet.

A lid could be added fairly easy. I wish I had a glove box for dry things. If snow gets in bad enough to fill the box, it'll probably fill the under seat storage area also??

cool box you made there. as for as a glove box or dry box down here we just take a piece of pvc pipe and secure it to the atv/utv and glue one end and take the other end and put a screw cap on it keeps stuff dry can be submerged and still won't leak.i would go with a 4" or bigger size pipe depending on what you need to put in it

Cool, can you post some pics mounted? That's a great idea!!!

what year is yours? I have had a 2013 and now a 2015 and there is storage under the seats

If you are talkin to me, '08. I have under seat storage too. Small stuff is fine there. But, being horizontal storage with solid bottom and only one 1/4" hole for drainage all it seems to do is collect debris. Can't hold a can of bug spray because it's too short vertically. Could have been a lot deeper.
