I thought I'd share my experience and eventual fix of my RTV900. There was a lot of detail that I couldn't find on the internet such as how do you remove the assist motor, and how do you change the charge pump.
I have a fair size YouTube channel where I repair stuff (mainly electronics down to component level) but I also do the occasional mechanical repair.
I hadn't intended on doing a video on the RTV900 but a few of my subscribers asked if I could do some more mechanical type repairs, so hopefully this is of use to someone in the same situation.
The video is split into 2 parts, the first part includes changing the charge pump, charge relief valve, rear driveshaft, rear bearings, and the 3 brass plates, hoses, filters, oil (which made little difference in my case), and testing the pressures.
The second part is disassembling the transmission again, inspecting the servo, and swash plate piston, replacing the thrust bearings, pumps, motors, three brass plates (again) and assist motor swash plate, testing the pressures again and finally a test drive.
I try to cover a fair bit of detail as I do in my other videos.
