RTV Snowblower

Well, having thoughts again. Now that I bought another sport side by side and will now be mostly using the RTV-X1100C for property work, I called dealer to get another current quote on the snow blower setup for it. I'm sure the price is gunna scare me away again, but snow blowing is so much better than plowing.
Will have to see if they are willing to give me anything for my Boss vee plow that is on it now.

For those with the blower, can I still leave the quick hitch and driveline on in the summer if I am only traveling on maintained type trails? Or do you lose all your clearance?

Price actually came down since last time I enquired. $19,700 installed tax in. Last time I got quote it was 24.

Just waiting to see what they will pay me for my Boss vee plow.

Damn! That's pretty pricey in my book. Around here, that would buy you a nice compact tractor with snow blower. If you're worried about not having a cab, at that price, you could also include some serious cold weather clothing.
Probably unrelated but tossing it out there... If I'm moving/blowing a lot of snow, an ATV or motorcycle helmet works a whole lot better than a hat and goggles for keeping your head warm and eyes clear.

When I snow blow on my tractor and it's real bad out, that's what I have....a snowmobile helmet with a heated visor.

Well, ball is in my dealers hand now. I told them I want the $5300 I paid new for my Boss plow. because I got quotes on those today and they are now $7890 PLUS $750 install PLUS our 13% tax PLUS the skid shoe kit!!! Unreal.
So we'll see how bad they want to sell me a$19,000 blower, LOL

ItBmine you will love the snow blower! When I bought mine in 2020 I believe my snowblower was only like 11,000. You do lose some ground clearance. You can leave everything on though unless you're riding in a real rough situations. You do not want to disassemble the linkage and U-joints all of that stuff that has to be set up buy a professional or you'll have problems. One of the best things about having a snowblower on a x1100c is you can snow blow in your pajamas if you want because you have the heater. I've had my snow blower on her for 4 years now and I actually look forward to snow blowing. One thing I do recommend you do not do is raise the snowblower all the way up while you have it engaged, I believe it is too much stress on you joints because it starts making some grinding noise when it gets up high. I either turn my snowblower off when I raise it all the way up or I just lift it up three four inches when I'm backing up out of the snow and it works fine.​

How is it for maintenance on the RTV? Can you still get at all the drains and the front diff drain?

Farewell to the Boss. Kind of a bittersweet moment, because I did like it, but I think the blower is going to outperform it in every way.

So got to look at a complete setup on dealer floor. There are two options for the blower controls. You get a bracket for left side that mounts by the cup holder. Or on the shift lever. I wanted it on bracket, but wife wanted it on shifter. So shifter it is, LOL

And you can still get at the front diff drain plug, but don't look like it's going to be fun.

I have two rear work lights and am getting the LED beacon on that center mount point.

I would love to have the blower on mine - although I love the V-plow. I am looking forward to hearing how it works for you. The dealer I was going to purchase one from said they gave up selling them as they were "problematic" and they did not want to deal with them.

Well other than them being noisy when you pick them up with PTO engaged, I haven't heard much?
Lots of snow contractors in my town running them.
