Hey Folks,
I noticed yesterday that when I start my little X1100c I get a puff of smoke . white/gray ...
Just for a second ,. then none.
Later that same day started again , and another little puff of smoke.
Tell me its not developing a issue ,, And its nothing to worry about !!

I'm guessing you're in Texas but does your JD 870 blow white smoke at start-up?
I have it's little brother, the 770 and when it's cold, I get white smoke until the engine warms up.
For the RTV, I'm thinking it's just cold (room temperature) start-up and the engine isn't fully burning that first couple seconds of fuel when you turn it on. If you run the glow plugs for 10-20 seconds before starting, do you get the same puff of smoke?

shouldn't be a problem. if you are concerned then put some MMO in the fuel every once in a while. couple times a year.
