Hey guys, any one have a thread on how to best pull the axles out of an Rtv 900. The hubs don't want to budge and I want to make sure i'm not missing something. thanks in advance

I reported your post to get it moved to the RTV forum. Member Bordercollie has a good write up in there on how to do it.

Bordercollie had to use a 10 ton press to press hers ouit and the bearings like to rust on the carrier.
I never got mine loose but next change im gunna try.I plan on using an air hammer to vibrate them loose while tapping on the spline with the nut on it so I dont mess up the threads. The dealer states they should just slide out but they lied lol..So its either you press them out on a press or try the air hammer method.I may try making a jig and plate to see if I can get it set up right to push them out with my 20 ton log splitter.Just gonna remoce the wedge and add a flat plate to do the job.Either way Some can be a real bear to remove.Good luck on it but so far seems the only ones ive had go bad ate the u jonts closest to the trans on my 900.

I just got back from ARK. Like Mark was saying mine were in there tight. It sounded like a gun going off when the press finally got them popped out- lots of pressure there! I tried ' bout everything including a bottle jack and the loaded feed wagon(several tons) as an anchor and had no luck till the press...If you get a chance, look at the way I used the press to get the things out... I was on my last limb.... see if this link works, http://www.nettractortalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=102549#post102549 I also bumped it. bordercollie
