Kubota OEM Glass Windshield and Seizmik Hood Rack?

Hello - This week I'll be purchasing the Kubota OEM windshield
for my RTV. Would like to know before calling/negotiating with
my dealer, what is the "going price" for these?

Question though is this...

Will the Seizmik hood racks work with the Kubota OEM windshield?

Really hope so, want to add one in a bad way!!!

THANKS.

The hood racks are not compatible with the windshields. The racks clamp onto the ROPS structure in a way that interfears with the windshield. If you want to make it work you could buy an acrylic windshield and modify it. The glass one won't work though.

Sorry, I don't recall the price of the OEM windshield.

If I had my choice of an OEM windshield or an acrylic + the hood rack, I'd go with the OEM windshield.

I made a windshield that's compatible with the hood rack and have both installed. Unfortunately, the material I made the windshield with is very expensive right now (Lexan with MarGuard). So expensive that it's almost on par with the price of the OEM windshield. I wouldn't use acrylic as it gets scratched very easily and you may find yourself replacing it every few years.

Thanks for the help guys. Bummer the hoodrack won't work with the
OEM glass windshield.

Picked up my windshield today, was 495.00 + tax at the dealer.

Took about an hour and a half to install and am absolutely impressed
with the way it fits the RTV with the Kubota plastic canopy.

Best money spent so far. Wifey and I took a loop around the farm and
a 3 mile run around the backroads and are happier than ever.
No wind, no bugs :o)

THANKS again.

2G - Thanks for the link. Is this unit for running in deep water or is it needed due to the windshield?

Wasn't able to figure this based on the post.

It'snot just for water, it keeps your filter cleaner much longer by getting it up and away from dust anddirt.

You would not believe how much dust & dirt gets into that air box, There is a vacuum behind the cab that just holds dust/dirt right into the intake of the air cleaner. In less than9 hrs, I myself blew out the filter with a air hose twice, and I wasn't in any bad dusty places yet, and it was filthy !!!Wish Kubota would have, from the factory, place the air intake up higher. But I would imagine they have there reasons. But they do, as a accessory, sell the high intake. Like many others, we try to take the best premium care of our equipment. And adding this High Intake Air Cleaner is one of the best things a person can put on his RTV. Put another approx. 25 hrs. on the new high intake cleaner, checked it the other day, looks brand new, no dust / dirt / nothing in it. All the air it receives is coming from the top, not from the dusty atmosphere where the tires are kicking up dirt/mud and dust constantly. This accessory will pay for itself very quickly, for the price of the air filters for the RTV isn't cheap.Plus, your engine will appreciate it also ~~~~ Kit comes with all the clamps, tubing, high rise tube, bigger new air box, and inner & outer filter for it. Takes about 20 minutes to install >.......</P>
