I need an option on tires

I need an option on what would be the best tire for use on an 1100 with a lift kit that is operated on road most of the time. I know that the lift kit messes up the camber of the front tires and cause the tires to wear out on the outside of the stock 25x10x12. The 1100 belongs to my son that uses it in Montana on the road as a commuter to work and around town. You can really see the camber issue. I have a 900 with the lift kit and 26x10x12 Swamp Witch tires and it doesn’t seem to have the camber issue. Will a 26” tire help offset the camber or would it be best to remove the lift kit?

Thanks

I run Maxxis Bighorn's on my 900. Nice road ride but plenty of traction for non-hardpacked surfaces.

I have 25x10x12 on my 900. Although 25's, they stand over 26". I do have a lift kit and don't have an exaggerated camber issue like you see with others so I guess the taller tires may in fact help.

A couple other things to add.
Do a search on the forum for camber. It's been kicked around in about a dozen threads and you should be able to get some tips-and-tricks.

The one I was looking for must have been on our old site so the pics didn't come forward.

Here's a couple pics of mine. You can see they're tilted just a bit, but look at the dust/dirt on the second pic where the rubber meets the road. Note that it's very close to right up the middle. BTW, these pics are over 4 years old. I don't pile on the hours like some others and rarely drive the pavement but my tread wear appears very even.

Thanks for the input. After looking at the post on lift kits and camber again and maybe reading between the lines a bit. I think the best thing to do is get a set of 26” tires maybe (ITP BajaCross or Interco Reptile) and put them on the stock wheels and run this winter. If they wear ok with the lift kit then fine. If not maybe by spring he can take the lift kit off and get a set of wheels /w (GBC Street Force Afterburn 25”tires) to run in the summer months on the road. Then have the 26” tires on stock wheels for next winter without the lift kit.

Personally, I would not go over 26".
I did, and WOULD NOT do it again. Save your $$$, stay with 25's, or if you want to go bigger, go with the 26 inchers.
27" rubb very little if I get in a bind, in a ditch or stump hole, cutting hard ( to the left, I think). Did not rubb much, but it did. Other than that, no problem. But 26 inch tires in the 589's will go just as far. You don't need to get to aggressive with the tires unless you just have to.

bczooms tires are great. Heard much good about them style tires.....

I have no lift.

ONe set of tires are OEM all terrain, we run them in the warmer months, and the 589's are on another set of rims, aluminum.

Them ITP baja cross, is some damn good tires ....
May I suggest, take a look at all terrain online .com, I, along with others, have had super service out of these folks.
And, they have FREE SHIPPING on some of their products, give them a call, you won't be sorry .....

Well my son liked the Interco Reptile Radials so I ordered him a set. (Merry Christmas son) LOL!!
After searching the web I found the best deal (I hope) at.
http://kgmotorcycletires.com/interco_reptile_atv_tires.htm
I noticed the note on their web site. (Reptile tires are actually 1" smaller then size on tires, 26" actually measures 25", 27" actually measures 26".)
So I called and talked to them, they said they didn’t know why that is but if I wanted a 26” tire I would need to order the 27” tires. We will see how it works out.
