Grey Kubota Paint question

Sometime during the last year someone had some tips about using the grey paint. I can't find it with the search option.

The tip had something to do with shaking the can then letting it rest and then shaking again in a day before applying- or something like that. Does anybody recall the tips?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure that was TWO GUNS.

What color are you painting? Just wanted to mention that the grey in the spray can doesn't exactly match the grey on the ROPS and such.

You are right, the spray can doesn't look ROPS grey.

I would advise someone geta can of Kubota paint. The spray can, you have to shake it, and shake it , and shake it. Then it don't spray a consistant color like one would think. BUT, if you do have to use the spray can. Get yourself apiece of tin or something metal, ( something that WILL NOT absort the paint like cardboard or a piece of wood ) and test spray first, might have to spray some before it starts coming out somewhatconsistantly. When it starts coming out close to what you want .Then start painting the item that you want, instantly, and right then!!!!

Next time I have to paint some ROPS grey, I'm going to get a quart of paint. And put it in the spray gun I have and do the job.

I cannot blame the paint on a bad batch, or just a so called bad can , I've tried several cans from different dealers, both dealers told me the way the paint acts. They advised me of the situation before I even purchased it, but being hard headed, I done it anyway. Pays to listen sometimes !!!

Thanks for the replies. I was actually asking on behalf of my brother who is overhauling a B7100 tractor trans. That's the most complicated little trans I've ever seen since it has 5 shafts andalmost as many gears on each shaft.
