Front drive shaft u joints

Hey guys

I just wanted to add this, I am replacing the u joints on the front drive shaft (4x4 shaft) of my rtv 900, and I don't like paying kubota prices. I used autozone (duralast) U joints when i replaced the rear, Part # 1-1557dl

I read that a lot of guys have used percision 392 for the front, I like options so i did some cross referencing, and this is what i have come up with.

autozone part # 1-0028dl

Trw-20128

Spicer s -1500x

and of course percision 392

If u end up at an auto parts store these u joints cross reference to fit a
71-73 nissan/datsun 1200 or a 1983 toyota starlet

Thanks much for the information. We ALL appreciate this !!!!

We can always try to save $$$......

Kubota is just crazy with their prices on parts ....

That is good information. Like Two Guns said, those orange colored parts will about put ya in the poor house. I think there is a thread on aftermarket parts - this would be good to go there. bordercollie

But remember Kubota will sell you she shaft ot shall I say slip you the shaft lol. They claim its a 1 piece unit.It took me a bit to find the joint to fit the front drive sgaft. The only thing you need to do on the shaft is use a small grinder on the yoke to add a small slot on 1 side for the retainer clip to hold the cap in place properly. It dosnt fatigue it ar take any meat from it and ive had mine on for 2 years problem free and it is greaseable.
120 vs 20 yes it is a savings IMO and worth the effort.
