Electrical Question L100 series John Deere

G'day all from the land down under.
I have a question about a L100 John Deere that I am bringing back from the dead.
While I'm doing a full restoration and having fun doing it and learning new tricks like high finish plastic welding, I have come across a problem that maybe the answer can be found here.
Under the operators consol I have 2 wires (photos attached) 1 is white and the other white /black trace.
The wire with a black trace has the remains of a broken terminal in it from wherever it once came from, (not sure the connectors are original.
There is another pair of wires that share a black 2-pin plug that I feel are for an hour meter (not in this option by previous owner as there is none fitted)
can an owner of a L-series take photos of where they go should be connected to OR advise please.
Any and all help gratefully received.
Thanks Murray / Muzza

Welcome to our forum. Hoping one of our JD experts will pop in soon. (ie: expert = someone who knows a lot more than me about JD's. I've never owned one.)

I don't have that tractor, but...
There's a lot of different things these white or white/black wires could be for. I honestly don't know, but like you mentioned, probably for options or safety.
Do an internet search for "JD L100 wiring diagram". There's several hits. Here's a couple I found. Looks like white and white/black go to a brake switch. I'm guessing a safety switch for operator presence. (Brake must be on before operator can get off the seat).
