Cover missing on cabin air filter

I was wondering if I need a cover on the cabin air filter? I purchased it used, It's a 2021 rtv1100c and just was looking it over
and noticed that you can look in and see the element. Do you really need the cover? Anyone know what the part no. is for the cover? Thanks

Nah. I have a 2023 rtv model. Air filter tab that holds the cover in place snapped off not too long after I got it. I have tried crazy gluing the tab back on, but it didn't hold. So, I have been running mine without the cover. I don't think the cover does very much, except hold the filter in place if you decide to run through a freshly plowed field or a boulder park @ 25mph.......

Hey thanks for responding, I have a Kubota that's a 2008 model and this unit sure is different. Lots of plastic and way to complicated. But I'm spoiled with how tough the Kubota tractor is and I'm sure the utv will be fun too. I just need to make sure to maintain it.
