1120D With Steering Noise While Mowing Field

I did not mean to suggest the spinner itself is causing the noise. I wondered if is was possible to over-heat the fluid or the steering valve by turning it a little faster. Either way, I am headed out in a few minutes to finish up. Will know more later.

1120D With Steering Noise While Mowing Field

One of my RTV's uses is pulling a motorized bush hog. While mowing, I have never had any strange noises from the steering. I recently added a spinner for the steering wheel, a gift from my Brother after he watched me negotiate my orchards. After about an hour on the spinner's maiden voyage...

    BX Axle Oil Dipstick

Great idea. I actually used a blue shop towel using your idea and it worked perfectly. Thanks!

    BX2230 HST Pedal Return

Thanks Zoom. After a quick glance and finding no zerk fittings anywhere near the pedal assembly, I got out a nylon brush and started scraping away grease and debris from the rocker and found the fitting. We had to get up the road but next weekend, I'll finally shoot some grease into this sticky...

    RTV-X11xx

Check the Bobcat's ground clearance and suspension type. They are purpose built for tool attachments and do very well at that. If ground clearance and performance over rough terrain and mud are important, consider that also. Also, a windshield or door window can be broken by an errant branch...

How many miles do you have on your RTV?

2016 1120D. 720 miles, 180 hours. Weekends mainly, year-round. Hobby tree farm, maintaining game cams, trail maintenance.

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

My Grampa is buried in Begium and I've always wanted to go there. He was KIA during the battle of the Hurtgen Forest and is resting at the Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery. Hope to get there before I am too old.

    BX Axle Oil Dipstick

Thanks Doc...I think I figured it out. I use these blue paper towels in the shop. If you touch the dipstick to the towel and while also not perfect, it gives you some idea of where you are.

    BX Axle Oil Dipstick

I checked the axle oil level on my BX2230 and noticed the dipstick is the same color as the oil. The only way to check the oil is to use your finger and I am somewhere between the normal lines. I thought about painting it some contrasting color but wasn't sure if the UDT would dissolve the...

    BX Tire Replacement

Follow Up: Replaced the two front tires with BTK 317s, ag tread. Out the door for $144. I thought I could raise the tires off the ground with the loader but only came up a little. Had a little trouble finding a place for the floor jack but finally got her done. I mowed yesterday in preparation...

Out with the old - In with the new tires that is

Thanks FTG....that gave me a great laugh which I needed! You are 100% right. When you look at it that way, extenders make a lot of sense. Our land has lots of places that could roll my 1120 if I don't pay attention. I will read back through your thread and see if there is a size or link to...

Out with the old - In with the new tires that is

Very nice tires. I will be interested in what stress, if any, the extender places on the axles. I have held off on spacers for my BX for that reason.

    Here's a "Talk About Anything" - II

I use a Northern Tool sprayer mounted on a Honda Foreman with Ranger mixed at 3oz per gallon of water. It kills all vegetation within ten days. Multiflora rose usually takes a second application to stop it.

    BX2230 HST Pedal Return

I had the 600 mile service done by the dealer so not certain which UDT they used. I specifically requested they grease the fitting and adjust the HST. I am confident that neither of those got done. And since I have to dig in, I wondered if there was anything else I should check.

    BX2230 HST Pedal Return

Had a problem for years with the HST pedal not returning to neutral or center. It never bothered me much but it almost caused the Mrs. a problem last weekend. She took her foot off the pedal to set the brake and it kept moving forward. I checked the parts diagram in the service manual and I...

Book or DVD on Learning Diesel Engines

I have been working on gas engines most of my life and have succesfully rebuilt a few. As I roll up on retirement, I want to be able to diagnose and repair diesel problems I am likely to run into. I have both the D905 and D1105 engines. Could anyone suggest good training materials for the...

Pro Konvert fitment problem? Parking break rubber handle slipping off.

Return it to dealer for both. You don't need any finger pointing for home attempted fixes. Just my opinion of course. Not everyone has a dealer a few miles away. I do like the extra length and flexibility of that bed.
