    Installing front loader

I put matching colored cable ties on the connections after a frustrating afternoon trying to figure out what went where.

spider in the fuel tank of my X1100C

It happens a lot more often than you'd think. A dead, dry leaf and a wasp got me on two separate occasions. After I broke the outlet nipple off and had to get a new tank I've been a lot more careful. :pat: Dirt daubers in the nozzle got the tractor at the farm.

    200 hour service

Basically that's me. Everything I own gets synthetic oil, usually Mobil 1 but sometimes Rotella, except for the F350 which still gets Rotella 15w-40. When you're only using a few quarts, the extra cost of a good synthetic is insignificant against the extra protection that you get. Having said...

This came in the driveway yesterday

Bordercollie, see what happens when you're on Santa's "nice" list. Since I didn't get one I can only assume that I'm on the "naughty" list. Strange, i can't remember doing anything bad. Well, no worse than usual. I guess having good intentions doesn't count. :bonk:

    Notch Cut

That's pretty neat. Like Doc, I've dropped a few big ones but most of my cutting are ones that are already on the ground or small diameter stuff so the old fashioned way usually does me just fine. If I have a tree that has to be dropped precisely on a line I may give it a try. I must admit...

    I think I got a problem.......

I may lead a sheltered life but I've never seen anything like that before. OUCH!!!! It may seem like a silly thing to say, but I suppose it could have been worse. I'm glad that the "fix" isn't too, too expensive.

    Fuel level audible indicator.

It's a pretty neat and useful feature, isn't it? There was something in my manual about it or I probably would never have known.

    transporting

I've had a pair of the individual arched tailgate ramps for years. They were originally a Christmas present from my M-I-L because I spent so much time hauling her riding mowers around. Mine are rated for 750 pounds each and do what they are supposed to do without failure (so far) but I don't...

    Kubota BX22

Junk, doesn't your buddy LBrown or whatever on the other tractor board have one. If I remember correctly he has about 3 of those little BX's.

    bx 22 kobota tires

If you live out in the country many local tire shops carry and install tractor tires. Some of them even come out to your place and do it there. Not many stiill do and they're getting fewer and fewer. When it comes to installing new tires I go to the local Cooper retailer who does a lot of...

    INFERIOR Tires!!

2-ply tires on a tractor, I've never heard of such a thing. It must be a local dealer installed cost cutting measure. Every Kubota I've ever seen around here comes with 6-ply Titans and I think that those are minimal. I replace mine with 10-ply. At least that gives you a chance of running...

But I have a Kubota to fall back on ....

Don't you hate it when that happens. :bonk::bonk: Same thing happened with my Mustang convertible. The thing is I bought it in 1986 and the recall was posted in 1988. It seems that it got lost in the mail for 24 years. Damned USPS. Anyhow, I probably don't have to worry too much about it...

    Suddenly totally dead

Darn, just when I was going to chime in with the correct solution. :) Just kidding, I didn't have a clue but I'm really glad that you found it. Sometimes that electrical stuff can be a booger to trace, find and fix.

    My 'toys' made me sore.

Congratulations. We've looked into getting the equipment to cut and bale our own hay but, even for used equipment, the price is pretty steep for as much acreage as we'd cut. It wouldn't have made any difference this year, never got a cutting at all. We've been buying baled corn stalks from...

    Take your time...

Been in that "zone" a couple of times over the years but always made it out unscathed, even if it took a while. Glad you got out of it with nothing worse than a good story to tell.
