All's well that ends well (or) Horses are expensive!!

We recently had a problem with our horse. We board him and my wife got a call to come over ASAP. He had a swelling on his lower chest that was the size of a grapefruit. We call the vet & we're given some topical meds, no sign of external injury. Two days later, it has grown to the size of a...

    Woe is me!!!

Wow, I hate to hear this kind of stuff. I hope it end up being a relatively minor fix. Does your 4740 have a FEL and would that help in removing the FEL on the 2400? I was thinking of it taking the weight as you pull/winch the 2400 away from the loader.

    3 PTH Trailer Hitch

I can relate to that. I was hooked to my landscape trailer and had just unloaded 100+ bales of hay on a extremely hot day, turned around out on the road (busy 40mph+) and the tractors rear tire lugs stripped off the weight distribution bracket on the trailer tongue. Not wanting to leave the...

    Mail Box Destruction

I have to agree with you. Here in New England, granite posts are common for mailboxes, on both town & state roads. For people who drive on the roads, no problem. The people who drive off the road, get dents. I've never heard of any injuries. When they decide to mandate break away mailboxes...

Have you ever felt like a dummy?

Does running into the garage door header with the rops up count? Twice?! The first time I merely felt stupid. The second time I felt dummer than a bagged salad.:pat:

How many hours do you average?

Mine has about 1011 hours in almost 6 years, about 168/year. The yearly average has crept up in the last few years.

    want one

I sure like the look of that 35 series. I'd like to see one. My local dealer doesn't have one yet. Does anyone know where it is made and if a hydro version is in the works? Sure have been happy with my 2810HST though, no complaints.

NH 310 baler, How much $$$$ for one?

I found one here:http://www.ssbtractor.com/tractor_manual_search.cgi?tractor_manual_make=New+Holland&tractor_manual_model=310 Kinda pricey. i couldn't find it on the New Holland site. For a shear pin, I wouldn't have a problem using grade 5 bolts but, a NH dealer should have the correct bolts in...

I Bought an Old Rusty Piece of Junk Yesterday

Hi Tim! Good to hear from you! I hope you've been having a good summer. I've been working harder but enjoying it. I would never have imagined all that I have accomplished with that little tractor.

I Bought an Old Rusty Piece of Junk Yesterday

Anyone else haying? We've been really lucky weather-wise, alot of rain early on but, played "follow the leader" a bit. Others cut so I did as well and got 2 cuttings so far. Low lead due to older unworked areas, trying to correct that. Baled 100 or so Saturday. So far, I'm pleased.

    New Holland does it Right

I decided not to post this in the New Holland forum, guessing that those guys are aware of this. Parts manuals are posted online (free!) I called my local (southern NH) New Holland dealer for a owners manual for my NH Hayliner 65 baler. I was advised to check online or call directly, as they...

    Red Hawk Down

Great to see up close! Good of you to help. We had a hawk hanging around picking off the little birds near my feeder. I thought I was running some sort of bird buffet. One morning I saw it chase a mourning dove, unsuccessfully I think, as they went out of sight. That dove was zigging and...

    Huh?

When my hot tub was running, it was excellent therapy for sore muscles. Soak for 30+ minutes with 2 tylenol extra strength and 2 beers. Repeat as needed. I hope you feel better.

    SNAKES!!!

We're lucky not to have an issue with the poisonous kind here in New England! If I were Mark's situation, I'd take Doc's advice on the .410. Cheap to buy, inexpensive ammo and light.

    mahindra 7010 cab tractor

Capt D, I would check the temp with a thermometer or infrared type unit. Regardless of Mahindra or the dealer being aware of it, if it causes a problem down the road, you may find yourself on the hook for it w/o their asistance. I'd want it fixed. Just my $0.02
