    What year and model is your rtv? Seems to me the rpm is almost always way under spec on the x models. In my opinion the fuel rack shoult be adjusted on a non turbo machine out until you get just a slight haze of smoke that clears as the max rpm is reached.

    Wd 40 or your favorite penetrating oil. On the ebrake and other brake linkages.

    Check the emergency brake that it releases at the wheels. Also make sure the foot brakes are releasing all the way. Brakes seizure is pretty common.

    Rack screw isn't an official term. And you won't find any fuel setting information in the wsm. You will find specs like psi,rpm etc in the wsm. The screw that limits the fuel rack travel sticks out from the front of the block near the injection pump.

    Something y'all should understand is that the rtv with the d1100 engine should get up to 25 mph easy and reliable without being out of factory spec. But things have to be adjusted to be in spec also. The rack screw is just a dead stop that won't allow the fuel rack to respond past its setting...

    I get 25 easy with a bed full of weight on a grade. With the 26 inch tires i get 28 mph. My grade is probably less than yours but can last for miles

    If your peddle and hst are all adjusted you can turn the rack screw out a couple of turns and check your loaded max rpm to 3800? You wouldn't know your machine. Just turn the rpm up only is probably enough and all you would be doing is setting it to factory specs.

    Without the test stand that will be anybody guess. If it weren't for the hst grenadeing you could really go to town with the rpm.

    I don't think the fuel screw will make much difference without advanced timing and a turbo. The rack screw and rpm will deliver more fuel when it needs it most.

    You really don't want smoke but just a haze when throttling up is ok but when it catches up just barely lean it under the appearance of smoke.

    If you don't have a turbo then leave the fuel setting where it is and adjust only the rack. Adjust your max rpm to at least 3600 rpm or 3800 is safe also. Then get your peddle and the rest set right to see if you are happy. If you do this and then want to add about 3mph to your top? Get some...

    I watched a youtube from another dealer that was explaining the x1130 long bed and its features. In the vid he quoted the engineers need to limit to 25 mph and that they accomplished this by limiting the swash plate tilt. This probably means that the while speed is governed to 25 it will not...
