    135MF

The 135s are neat tractors. Too expensive for me though. There is alot of information on posting pictures in the NTT General Info & Forum Problems section

    Can a 30hp tractor run a 7ft rototiller?

Depends what you are doing Doc. If its been dug before I would probably try it, anything hard I don't think it will be up to much. $60 isnt a bad loss if it doesn't work out. Check the weight though, they can be pretty heavy particularly when covered in mud. I would have thought that your...

    Excavator Climbing Ladder

I found a video of this stunt. From a German TV show (the commentator doesnt say anything interesting). I would have loved to work on this project making this stunt work. Must be great fun doing whose ever job it is to come up with stuff like this (presumably the guy driving :D) Video (youtube)

    New project, splitter (working)

Thanks Erik. Used it for maybe 30 mins today, the top of the beam is nicely smoothed now :D I tell you, these splitters are a good tool. I've worked my way through the logs that I couldn't chop with an axe. Nothing in there that it wouldn't split. Shearing a lump of oak across the grain only...

    New project, splitter (working)

Got quite carried away this evening. Got home at 6, and by 9pm I was ready to fire it up. I can tell I'm going to enjoy using this :D I kicked off with a bit of pine (in the pics) with a few knots. Didnt even register the pressure, maybe 100-200psi. Then we stuck a lump of old oak I think it...

    New project, splitter (working)

Found a hour this evening to do a little bit of work on the splitter. Started welding on the wedge end, and started the pusher plate. I do quite like working with thicker steel. Most this steel is in the 10mm to 1/2" range. Nice being able to give the welder a good workout. I've not managed to...

    New project, splitter (working)

I quite enjoy it actually Doc, very satisfying. Stress relief :D I'll probably not use the splitter much, it'll never split as fast as I can with an axe. Only spent a couple of hours on it today. I do however now have the plan all worked out in my head. Cut and drilled parts for the wedge...

    Is this any good?

I got given this spray gun, looks like one of the mains electricity powered ones. Would it be any good for spraying steel panels? You know as much about it as I do, price was right so I couldn't say no. Just need to find a use for it now :D

    New project, splitter (working)

Been meaning to make a splitter for a while now. My old man asked for one for his birthday this year. While I'm quite happy to swing an axe all weekend I think he is over that and would prefer to just pull a lever. So I bought him the ram and gave it to him today. I think he liked it...

    Making the artic useful

Cheers Mark. I'll add the toplink mount when I finish weld the linkage up (its just tacked right now). I've even got a dinky toplink for it somewhere. Its a full cat 1 linkage, but with shorter more compact arms (and hence toplink). I'm not too sure how it will take ground engaging equipment...

    3 pt log splitter, DIYS?

What size ram you got there RD? Any specs on the pressure and flow you are willing to give us? I just ordered the ram for my splitter project earlier. My hydraulics guy was an absolute star as usual and gave me the appropriate discount! :D

    Making the artic useful

Well, its only taken 5 months, but I have done more to the 3ph. Spent all morning doing all the jobs that had accumulated on my workbench to clear a space to work on this! The clutch on my chainsaw had disintegrated and ruined all the clutch housing. Luckily I had another of the same model saw...

    barbwire dispenser

Nice design, cant fault it. I think you are right, the fairlead should keep the wire feeding well. I wonder whether the barbs will catch on the fairlead pipes, but it looks like you have made a cone on the front of it to help the wire feed in. Very nice indeed.

    Tree puller

You wont believe this! Just got back from pulling another 5 trees, the bloody H beam along the bottom has got bent! It still works fine, I just couldn't believe it! Its only slight, but I would have expected either the strap or a weld to break first. Must have some well rooted trees around here :D

    Broke the digger (again)

I could tell you Doc, but then I would have to kill you :D Well I suppose the biggest thing would be a dual hydraulic system for the backhoe. 1 pump for 2 functions (on one joystick) and a second pump for the other 2 functions (on another joystick). How smooth would that be to operate! I would...

    Broke the digger (again)

In theory yes. I did the welding this morning and actually found it easier to attach the backhoe than remove it. Its easier to align the bolts and put them in than it is to guess when they are not loaded and take them out. It only took me about 10 mins to put back on. I can live with that. BD...
