Raised Cab Excavator

I suppose this is old news to a lot of you but I'd never heard of or seen one till yesterday. One was working along the side of the road working on the hillside. The cab was way up in the air. Unreal. Higher than the one in this pic. I could not stop and get a pic as it was in the middle of one lane road we had to wait to go through, no stopping.

Same concept as a tracked excavator operator climbing on top of the dirt pile as he is loading up in trucks. Much easier to see what your bucket is doing inside the bed of the truck. Some dump truck operators get a bit pissy when you bang your bucket on the inside of their dump bed or tear half of their wooden 2x12 side rail off because you couldn't see where the bucket teeth were at.
