John Deere 316 won’t move

I have a John Deere 316 mower that the hydraulics don’t seem to be working on. I can’t turn the wheels or go forward or reverse. It was working fine with no problems and I had a friend change a leaking seal and now the mower won’t move. Starts just fine. Any one know what could be the problem?

Welcome to the forum.
The first couple things that come to mind.
First, check your hyd fluid level. Top off if/as needed.
Second, by changing that seal, air could have entered the hyd system. This will require bleeding the system to get the air out. Not familiar with the 316 hyd system but there's probably a ton of videos on youtube on how to bleed your system.

Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

Another thing hit me.
Most hydrostatic transmissions have a hydraulic release. This disengages the hydraulics so the tractor can be moved in a "free wheel" mode.
Did your friend disengage the hyd release? If so, re-engage.
