Screw the ACLU

If you look closely at the picture, you will note that
all the Marines pictured are bowing their heads. That's because
they're praying.

This incident took place at a recent ceremony honoring the
birthday of the Corps, and it has the ACLU up in arms. "These are
federal employees," says Lucius Traveler, a spokesman for the ACLU, "on federal property and on federal time. For them to pray is
clearly an establishment of religion, and we must nip this in the
bud immediately."

When asked about the ACLU's charges, Colonel Jack Fessender,
speaking for the Commandant of the Corps said (cleaned up a bit),
"Screw the ACLU." GOD Bless Our Warriors, Send the ACLU to France.

May God Bless America , One Nation Under GOD!

And...May God bless warriors that are able and willing to stand up to the idiots at the ACLU.

The story is a hoax, but the ACLU is worthless from my point of view.

Guys, Doc's other enteprise ForumsForums.com is full of people who love to talk politics endlessly.

The post that opens this thread would be right at home for discussion there.

I, for one, would encourage anybody with political opinions to share them over there and let NTT be a board where we can focus on tractors without the distraction of politics.

Cali, I really didn't think too long or hard about this when I got it this morning. Maybe I shouldn't have posted it. Maybe we shouldn't have an "Open Forum". Sure didn't mean to get anyone riled.:sorry:

Mobilus,
No one is riled in any way. CA is just pointing out if you like discussing this kind of stuff check out forumsforums.com.

You are welcome to post any kind of post you want here. Forums revolve around discussion. Discuss away. :thumb:

Well, I got the addiction in the worst way. I have three forums going and net boat talk is on the way. :pat: :pat: :yum:
Share that self help book if you find it. :D

ACLU needs to hire themselves a new PR man. :pat: They might want to find someone else to pick on other than the USMC.

Some people are their own worst enemy.

Now calm down there Junk before you blow a gasket. All rational people despise the ACLU. But this was just an Internet hoax... one of them hoax e-mail deals that go around. It didn't really happen. So put down that rifle, take off your USMC uniform, pop open a beer... and relax. :)

Watch out for those self-help hoaxes (frauds), too. Last Tuesday I bought a cd called "Subliminal Advertising". This morning I ordered 47 more.

Ted

The ACLU has done more to damage morals and enact dum laws in the last 35 years more than all the serial killers could combined. The big shots of the ACLU should at least offer to volunteer themselves as pop up targets for the Marines annual sniper fire training. At least doing this, they are helping out the country as a whole..

Hoax or not, it's not the first time I've heard something like this.

I distinctly recall an afternoon in the summer of 85 when I and several hundred other guys up at Great Mistakes were informed that <everyone> was going to bow their heads that afternoon when the chaplain spoke, regardless of their beliefs.
I've also heard there is no such thing as an atheist in a foxhole.

Oh, and FarmWithJunk - I saw a t-shirt you'd like the other day. it said: "Yeah, the Marines are part of the department of the Navy...
The men's department!" :tiphat:
