JD 4400 and Gator Plasti Cracking

Has anyone else had issues with John Deere plastic cracks ?

I have multiple cracks on my JD 4400 compact tractor and JD 6x4 Disel Gator. Local dealer has no interest in helping.


Replacement panels are very expensive from John Deere.

My dealer told me to find someone who does plastic welding. I've read this in posts on a couple of other forums as well. Good luck.

Google search plastic welding.....You can see how its done and even buy your own stuff to do it.

I have done research on plastic welding, not sure how good of a solution that is. Also depends on what type of plastic the base material is.

Does anyone know what type of plastic JD used and has anyone had success welding on them ??
