Coffee With a Side of Diesel

I wonder if this occurs in the small 5 gallon yellow diesel cans, like this. I have 4 of them and constantly rotate them between my RTV and BX. I also include Stanadyne because I live in the Northeast.

    Side rails X1100 disappointed

OK I finally finished my bed rails/box. All of you guys had some really good ideas, was truly inspirational in designing mine.

    Hand throttle

Perhaps double check the part numbers. But I have an 1100 and it fit perfectly.

    Another Benefit of the RTV

Nice haul, but it looks like you'll need the rear window protector in the future! I'm currently working on some mods to mine to make it safer and haul more wood. I'll post some pics when I finish.

Anybody use their RTV for recreational off road fun?

We use Street and Steel from cycle gear. Being in a fully enclosed cab, full face isn't necessary. No bugs and still wanna hear the music, so we chose a simple half helmet. Legal requirements like Doc said.

    RTVx1100c Fuel tank capacity

Good to know. Will that put air in the fuel line? Making it difficult to restart? And perhaps require bleeding/priming?

    What are these for?

Wow really great pics Doc!!! I'm a little jealous to be honest. Looks like you have a couple of leaners though. I see some chainsaw and splitter action in your future. We hope to be doing some 3 hour rides this summer too!! Can't wait to get out there, I think spring and fall are the best...

Anybody use their RTV for recreational off road fun?

We are going camping in Maine this weekend!! Gonna scope out a few trails in the area. It's still mud season, and registration doesn't open up till the end of May, but it'll still be good for walking and hiking, and talking to some locals. If any of you guys are around the Denmark area and would...

    What are these for?

If you look closely at my photo above, you will see the zip ties holding mine in. No more rattle :brows: Yeah it's a slight inconvenience having to cut zip ties to wash the window. But I always keep a few handy as part of my ohshit kit. (zip ties, bailing wire, electrical tape, duct tape, krazy...

RTV Daily uses, What did you do today with your RTV?

CT is a net neutral state. Meaning I can only produce what I consume. My electric meter spins both ways. In the summer months when we have more sunlight, and I'm producing more than I consume, the meter spins backwards, sending the excess back into the grid, thus earning energy credits. In the...

RTV Daily uses, What did you do today with your RTV?

Yeah, I've been wanting to get solar panels for years, but we had too many trees. So over the years I have acquired all of the equipment to make it a reality. Now I just cut 'em down, chip the little stuff, the rest is split and stacked! Easy peasy! The above pictures are the last of two very...

    Hand throttle on RTV-X vehicles

Me too, me too! I installed the hand throttle on my x1100, IIRC it was about $120 and fairly easy to install. Like other posters I did it for all the hills on my property. It's especially helpful when hauling my trailer around. In addition to the hand throttle being standard equipment, I'd like...

    What are these for?

Awesome, just remember to do a quick check to make sure nothing gets hung up under it, before you dump! I learned the hard way 😠 And speaking of "what's this for?" What is that little white knob for, just under the warning sticker on the drivers side? It has a hose with a clamp. Is that the...

Anybody use their RTV for recreational off road fun?

Doc, after having these tires for a while now, and knowing what you know about them, would you do it again? If not what would you change? And no issues turning or rubbing, even when fully loaded? Oh and I think you are running stock suspension, no lift?

The fronts look ok, maybe I'll look into just getting the rears. It's not like I'll be blazing my own trails.

Thanks Doc I knew there were a few tire threads, just couldn't find em. Yeah for sure easy enough to swap out the whole wheel
