Just received the one from Amazon. Close, but no dice. Splined shaft is smaller diameter, and starter is slightly shorter. Otherwise it is exact, including the mounting holes. I guess I'll go bid on one that I see on Ebay.

The starter on my RTV 850 (2018 model) just crapped out. Finally got it off (really hard to get to) and it is stamped with Mitsuba SM17. It is trashed on the inside. Searched on internet, lots of bad info on compatible starters. Found one on Amazon that looks correct so I ordered it. Might not...
